What Works Here
Perch / Trout (freshwater): 2–3" (50–75 mm) shads in ayu, smelt, silver/black.
Pike: 3.8–5.8" (97–147 mm) paddle-tails in motor oil, dark watermelon, firetiger.
Sea Bass: 3–5" (75–125 mm) shads (Easy Shiner, Swing Impact) in sandeel/white/pearl/ayu/olive. Retrieve: slow-roll or lift-and-drop over reefs, estuaries and surf gutters. Rigs: 5–14 g (0.18–0.49 oz) jig heads or 3–10 g (0.11–0.35 oz) weedless Texas for kelp/rough ground.
Trout (freshwater): 2–2.5" (50–64 mm) shads/minnows (Easy Shiner, Swing Impact) in ayu, smelt, silver/black. Ultra-light heads 1.5–3 g (0.05–0.11 oz) or micro-cheb 2–4 g (0.07–0.14 oz); steady or stop-and-go in clear streams and reservoirs.
Sea Trout (optional): 2–3" (50–75 mm) shads (Easy Shiner) in pearl/silver/anchovy with subtle flash. Jig heads 3–7 g (0.11–0.25 oz) for tidal flows; slow retrieve at dusk/dawn along current seams and drop-offs.
Match head weight to venue: 3–5 g (0.11–0.18 oz) for canals/shallows; up to 10–15 g (0.35–0.53 oz) for deep lakes & rivers.
