Underwater fishing cameras in the current range
The present Fishfinders collection focuses on camera-based observation rather than display-and-transducer sonar. Water Wolf 2.0 records underwater footage during trolling, casting, float or carp fishing, while the Westin Explore Camera Feature Finding Kit is an accessory for positioning a separate compatible Westin Explore camera.
Water Wolf 2.0 records Full HD 1080p video, is rated waterproof to 100 metres and offers up to 3.5 hours of recording according to the product specification. Its low-light performance, shock-resistant housing and anti-wobble retrieve design support viewing fish behaviour, lure action and underwater features in several fishing methods.
The Westin kit helps position the Explore camera to inspect bottom type, bait placement and underwater snags. The camera itself is not included, and the kit is specified only for the Westin Explore Cam. Confirm the exact camera and attachment before ordering; similar-looking fittings do not establish compatibility.
Choose between a camera and sonar-style equipment
An underwater camera records direct images, while a conventional fishfinder interprets sonar returns on a display. Cameras depend on visibility, light, water colour, mounting and recovery method. Decide whether the goal is reviewing footage, checking presentation or receiving live depth information, because the equipment and operating process differ.
Browse all boating equipment, plan portable use with suitable inflatable boats, and coordinate movement with compatible electric boat engines. If a separate sonar unit is selected later, compare dedicated transducer poles; they are not automatically camera mounts.
Match the camera system to suitable boat rods and multiplier reels only where the mounting method and line rating permit it. Avoid adding camera drag to a rig outside the rod, line or terminal tackle specification.
Rig, retrieve and care for fishing cameras
Charge and test the camera before fishing, set the correct date or recording mode and fit every attachment as instructed. Keep the lens clean and position the unit so hooks, weights and line cannot strike it. Use a secure recovery plan and do not cast a camera unless the complete outfit is designed for that load.
On a boat, wear correctly fitted equipment from the life jackets range and keep attention on navigation, weather and other craft. A recorded image does not identify every hazard or replace current charts, safe speed, local knowledge or direct observation.
After use, rinse only as directed, dry the housing and inspect seals, lens, charging points and attachments. Download and back up footage before storage. Stop using a unit with a damaged seal, cracked housing or unreliable charging, and follow the manufacturer’s procedure before opening any waterproof compartment.
