Westin and Berkley float tubes
The current Float Tubes collection includes Westin W6 and W8 Belly Boats plus the Berkley Tec Pulse Pro XCD. These personal craft place the angler close to the water and combine inflatable buoyancy, a raised seat or backrest, storage and attachment areas for a compact mobile fishing setup.
The Westin W6 is stated at 170 centimetres long with three air chambers, an inflatable bottom, seat and backrest. It includes two sliding waterproof EVA bags, a hand pump with pressure gauge, carry straps and repair kit, and its specification supports glue-on accessories and a compatible electric-engine setup.
The W8 extends to 180 centimetres, also uses three chambers and adds supplied oars to its high-seat, inflatable-floor layout. Berkley’s Pulse Pro XCD uses 1680D double-stitched polyester, a full floor, enlarged removable side pockets, improved tanks and valves, carrying straps, accessory loops and a measuring mat.
Choose size, seating and equipment layout
Compare the product’s user and load limits, internal space, seat position and intended water. A longer craft may add room but also changes transport, turning and wind exposure. Check whether pump, gauge, oars, fins, bags and repair materials are supplied rather than assuming every belly boat includes the same package.
Browse the parent boating collection, match valves and pressure to suitable inflation pumps, and use approved items from boating accessories. If a model accepts propulsion, confirm its exact limits before selecting an electric trolling motor.
Plan the fishing outfit with manageable boat rods, correctly balanced multiplier reels where appropriate, and only the tackle that can be secured. Keep hooks and tools away from chambers and leave clear access to valves, handles and emergency equipment.
Inflate, launch and maintain a belly boat
Inspect chambers, valves, seams, floor, seat and straps before every use. Inflate in the stated order with a gauge, test for pressure loss and recheck as temperature changes. Wear correctly fitted equipment from the life jackets range and dress for water temperature, not only the air.
Use a float tube only on water and in weather permitted by the manufacturer, venue and user’s experience. Check wind and return route, remain visible, carry protected communication and never depend on one direction of breeze or current. Electronics from the fishfinder collection do not replace navigation or direct observation.
After use, rinse and dry all fabric, bags, straps and fittings. Deflate and fold as instructed without trapping hooks or hard accessories. Store the craft away from heat, fuel, rodents and heavy objects, and use only compatible repair materials after locating and assessing any pressure loss.
