Spomb Large X, Midi and Mini bait dispensers
The current Spomb collection contains four available products: Large X, Midi and Mini bait dispensers plus a Spomb Scoop. The three dispenser sizes allow anglers to balance payload, casting effort, feeding rate and distance rather than using the largest body for every situation.
Compare them with other baiting equipment by capacity, release system and intended bait. A smaller dispenser may suit frequent controlled feeding or lighter tackle, while a larger payload requires a correctly rated spod or baiting rod, strong main line and a safe casting area.
Check that the nose and release mechanism close cleanly before every cast. Do not overfill or force compacted bait into the body, as this can affect release and flight. Remove damaged units from use if the hinge, body or attachment point is cracked.
Prepare bait for clean loading and release
Pellets, particles, groundbait and mixed feed behave differently in flight and on impact. Browse coarse and carp bait, then prepare each product according to its own instructions. Excess liquid can leak during casting, while overly sticky mixes may not empty cleanly.
Use the Spomb Scoop to load consistently and avoid contamination from the ground. Organise feed in clean buckets and riddles, keeping dry ingredients, wet particles and hookbaits separated until needed.
Measure the amount introduced rather than feeding automatically. Water temperature, fish activity, nuisance species, depth and venue rules all affect the appropriate quantity. Uneaten bait can harm water quality and should not be dumped at the end of a session.
Build a safe Spomb casting setup
A loaded dispenser may weigh much more than the empty product. Select from fishing rods only after confirming a dedicated rod rating for the complete payload. Use a suitable shock leader where required, protect the casting finger and check knots and line for abrasion.
Make sure the casting zone is clear behind and in front, and avoid overhead power lines, people, boats and wildlife. Clip up only when the rod, line and technique can absorb the stop safely. Rinse and dry the dispenser after use, remove bait residue from the release mechanism and store it open where trapped moisture cannot cause odour or damage.
