Replacement quivertips and feeder-tip storage
Feeder rod tips provide the flexible bite-indication section at the end of a feeder rod. A spare tip must match the rod's fitting diameter and seat correctly without force or movement. Model name, generation, length, material and test strength can all matter. Do not choose only by colour, because colour coding is not universal across brands or ranges. If compatibility is not explicitly stated, confirm it before purchase.
Measure an undamaged original tip at the section that enters the carrier and compare the manufacturer's part code. Even a small difference in diameter can cause a loose or jammed fit. If the original is broken inside the rod, remove it carefully or seek a competent repair.
Choose tip strength for the conditions
A softer quivertip can show delicate bites and may suit calm water or lighter feeders. A stiffer tip can cope better with flow, wind or heavier work, but it does not increase the safe casting capacity of the main rod. The complete blank and its stated rating determine the load. When fitting a tip, check that ferrules are clean, align every guide and inspect the tip for cracks or flattened sections. Thread line only after the tip is seated. During transport, use a rigid tube or padded tip safe so fine guides and carbon or glass sections cannot be bent beneath other tackle.
Complete the feeder setup

After fishing, remove the tip only as instructed, wipe away grit and allow wet sections to dry before storage. Replace a tip that is split or structurally damaged rather than relying on a cosmetic repair. Never force an incompatible tip into the carrier section, as damage can affect both parts.
