Fishing headlamps, bivvy lights and night lights
The current Lighting collection covers hands-free headlamps, a bivvy light and compact chemical lights for rod tips or floats. Available brands include Westin, Highlander, Savage Gear, Prologic and DAM, with options ranging from simple replaceable-battery lamps to rechargeable models with red light or sensor control.
The Westin Beam offers a 20-to-400-lumen output, a built-in 1250mAh rechargeable battery, USB-C charging and a three-AAA backup option. Its IPX6 rating, adjustable housing and red mode suit changing bank conditions. The Westin Sunbeam uses a wide LED strip, 40-to-350-lumen output, 1800mAh battery, USB-C charging, battery indicator, sensor mode and IPX4 protection.
Highlander’s Capella uses three AAA batteries and provides several LED sequences, while the lighter Mizar adds white, red and red-flash modes. The Savage Gear MP Flip and Cap can be worn on its strap or clipped to a cap and combines rechargeable power, red-light options and a motion sensor. Prologic’s Lumiax uses a focused 3W Cree LED rated at 150 lumens.
Choose the right beam, power source and controls
Match the light to the task. A broad beam helps with rigging, cooking and organising a swim; a focused beam reaches farther along a bank or path. Low-output and red modes can preserve night vision and reduce glare around other anglers. Check stated output at each setting, expected runtime, charging time and whether batteries or a cable are supplied.
The Prologic C-Series Bivvy Light is designed to work with the compatible C-Series alarm system. It can illuminate for a selected five, ten or twenty seconds after an alarm trigger and show the corresponding alarm colour. Four brightness levels, manual control, an integral hook and magnets provide mounting choices, but compatibility must be confirmed before purchase.

Use and care for fishing lights safely
Set up before darkness, carry a backup light and spare approved batteries where practical, and avoid directing a high-output beam at other people, road users or boats. DAM chemical night lights are offered in yellow, red and blue 4.5-by-39-millimetre sticks; fit them only to a suitable holder and dispose of spent sticks responsibly.
Water resistance differs by model. Follow the published IP rating or product instructions, keep charging ports closed when required and never treat a splash-resistant light as suitable for immersion. Inspect straps, clips, housings, cables and battery compartments, and stop using a unit that is swollen, cracked, leaking, unusually hot or corroded.
For longer bank sessions, plan illumination alongside camping and cooking equipment and secure lights inside compatible fishing shelters without covering ventilation or creating a trip hazard. Recharge and dry equipment after use, remove disposable batteries before long storage and keep every light where it can be reached quickly.
