The Westin W3 uses an aluminium body and cover to maintain a rigid support for its gears. A carbon fibre rotor, ceramic line roller and carbon drag make it a practical choice for anglers who want a metal-bodied lure reel.
Best suited for
Freshwater and coastal lure fishing for species such as perch, pike, trout, pollack and bass.
Why choose it
- Aluminium body and cover support gear alignment under load.
- Ceramic line roller reduces friction where the line enters the spool.
- One-piece CNC handle with TPR grip provides a firm connection for winding.
- IPX5 protection and a double-anodised spool suit all-water use.
How to choose
Choose 2000 or 3000 for the lighter body weights of 250g and 255g. The 4000 and 5000 provide 8kg maximum drag and more line capacity. The 5000 retrieves 85cm per turn compared with 79cm for the 4000, despite sharing the same 5.2:1 gear ratio.
