Kinetic Double Action Pump for inflatable equipment

The current relevant inflation option is the Kinetic Double Action Pump 2x2L. It is a high-volume manual pump intended to fill a float tube quickly, moving two litres per stroke. Its twin-action design supports both inflation and deflation without requiring a battery or electrical connection.

The published dimensions are 21 by 49 centimetres and the stated weight is 700 grams. Those figures help plan luggage space, but they do not establish compatibility with every craft. Confirm the supplied hose, valve fitting and any required adaptor against the exact inflatable product before purchase.

Do not confuse an inflation pump with a bait-aeration pump, bilge pump or high-pressure compressor. Each performs a different task. The Kinetic model’s product information states its stroke volume and inflate-deflate function but does not give permission to exceed the pressure or inflation sequence specified by a boat or float-tube manufacturer.

Match the pump to the valve and pressure

Seat the adaptor squarely and support the hose so it does not pull sideways on the valve. An attachment that feels tight may still be wrong for the seal or locking profile. If an adaptor leaks, binds or needs force, stop and obtain the approved fitting rather than holding it in place during inflation.

A double-action pump moves air on both parts of the stroke, which speeds filling but can require more effort as pressure rises. Use stable footing, keep hands clear of joints and stop if the hose, body or handle distorts. Use a separate compatible gauge whenever the inflatable equipment requires one.

Inflate, deflate and maintain the pump

Identify every chamber and follow the manufacturer’s sequence so the craft takes shape evenly. Inflate gradually, check seams and valves, then verify pressure before launch. Recheck after temperature changes, because air warmed by direct sun can increase pressure even when no more air has been added.

Use the deflation function only as intended and keep the hose away from sand, water and loose debris. A manual pump is not an emergency repair for a leaking chamber. Postpone use if the inflatable product cannot hold pressure or if the pump cannot connect and operate reliably.

After use, remove grit, dry the hose and adaptor and inspect seals, handle, barrel and footplate. Store the hose without a tight kink and keep all small fittings together in a clean bag. Replace cracked parts or unreliable seals instead of improvising tape or clamps at the launch point.
