Shamrock mackerel, pollack and cod rigs

The current Shamrock collection contains 49 available products or listings. Mackerel and Pollock Bunty tube rigs, Pollock Bashers, Kilmore Killers, Euro Champ rigs, coloured feathers and Irish Special patterns cover a wide selection of multi-hook sea presentations.

Compare them in the wider ready rigs range by hook size, trace material, number of hooks and intended species. A rig name does not guarantee suitability for the rod, sinker or local conditions. Include bait, lead and all hooks in the casting load.

Cod Caspers, Crazy Ling and Cod, Bulls Eye, Bass and Pollock, Flatfish and shore-flapper styles are also represented. Check whether a rig is intended for bait, feathers or active retrieval and replace any corroded hook or damaged snood before use.

Shamrock Slider jerkbaits

Available four-inch and six-inch Slider jerkbaits include Perch, Firetiger, Roach, Bright Roach, Rainbow Trout, Hot Pike and other finishes. Compare them with jerkbaits by length, weight, buoyancy, action and hook configuration.

Use the main fishing lures category when comparing hard-bait profiles. Choose the rod and leader for the lure's actual weight and retrieve, not for the prey image printed on the finish. Natural and bright colours are options for visibility, not guaranteed species selectors.

Inspect split rings and hook points before fishing. Larger jerkbaits need controlled casting space and a landing net appropriate to the target fish. Secure hooks during transport and use long forceps or cutters for safe unhooking.

Choose and care for Shamrock sea tackle

For deeper or faster water, compare metal presentations in sea metal jigs, but do not substitute a jig for a multi-hook feather rig without checking action and rod load. Match line, leader and swivel strength to the complete system.

Small clips, swivels and trace components can be checked in terminal tackle. Rinse suitable rigs and lures after saltwater use, dry them fully and store hooks separately. Multi-hook traces should be wound securely so they cannot tangle, rust together or catch hands and clothing. Label stored rigs by hook size and trace strength, and discard any snood that has become kinked, abraded or stretched.
